About PENSA TTU

A vibrant, Spirit-filled community impacting Takoradi Technical University campus with the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Who We Are ?

The Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA), the student wing of the Church of Pentecost worldwide, began over forty (50) years ago with a few dedicated students in tertiary institutions across Ghana. Over the years, it has grown into a vibrant and impactful movement, drawing young men and women to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

At PENSA TTU – Takoradi Technical University, this vision continues to thrive as a dynamic fellowship committed to spiritual growth, discipleship, and evangelism on campus. The fellowship serves as a strong platform for students to deepen their relationship with God, build Christ-centered character, and influence their academic and social environments with godly values.

Our Mission & Vision

Our Mission

We exist to establish responsible and self-sustaining churches filled with committed, Spirit-filled Christians of character, who will impact their communities.

Our Vision

To become a global Pentecostal church that is culturally relevant in vibrant evangelism, church planting, discipleship and holistic ministry.

Core Values

Evangelism

Evangelism is the Spirit-empowered presentation of Jesus Christ so that people will trust Him as Saviour and Lord and join the fellowship of the Church. It is the primary responsibility of every believer and minister, and each Christian is expected to share their faith after conversion. The Church also engages in cross-cultural, mission-oriented evangelism, where members travel abroad to preach Christ, plant churches, and invite ministers to lead them. Following the example of Pastor James McKeown, the Church responds to mission calls as directed by the Holy Spirit.

Discipleship

Discipleship is teaching and training believers to be like Christ in character and to make responsible, godly choices, emphasizing holiness, righteousness, faithfulness, honesty, sincerity, humility, and prayerfulness for a disciplined life. It occurs at both individual and church levels: mature believers disciple new converts, while the Church provides structured teaching and practical training. It centers on the four-square gospel—Jesus as Saviour, Healer, Baptiser, and Soon-Coming King—along with Church tenets, Bible reading and study, scripture memorization, and applying God’s Word to daily life.

Ministry Excellence

We seek to honour God who gave His best (Christ Jesus as the Saviour) by maintaining a high standard of excellence in all our ministries and activities (Col. 3:23-24).

Prayer

Normal practices include regular prayer for baptism in the Holy Spirit, with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues, and emphasis on the fruit and gifts of the Spirit in believers’ lives. Prayer is also offered for healing and deliverance of the afflicted as part of early salvation experiences. Church services are distinctly Pentecostal, featuring praise and worship, teaching, exercise of spiritual gifts, prayer, testimonies, and related activities.

Ministry Of The Holy Spirit

We believe in the presence of the Holy Spirit, and that the Christian life can only be lived through His enablement. The new birth is His work, followed by baptism in the Holy Spirit for power to serve, and the gifts of the Spirit for building the body of Christ. He helps believers develop Christ-like character, shown through the fruit of the Spirit. His leading in all areas of church life is essential, and both administrative structures and church practices are shaped by His guidance.

Leadership

Leadership development is based on an apostolic foundation, with appointments and callings into leadership positions guided by character, charisma, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. It begins at the grassroots level, where members grow into leadership roles over time, progressing to lead sub-groups, Ministries, Assemblies, Districts, and Areas. Team spirit and talent development shape effective teamwork, and ministry is carried out by both clergy and laity.
